The Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) allows eligible international students who have graduated from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

  • An open work permit, not tied to a specific employer.
  • Duration depends on the length of your study program (up to 3 years).
  • Crucial for gaining Canadian work experience, often a pathway to permanent residency.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a PGWP, you must meet specific criteria related to your study program and graduation.

  • Graduated from an eligible DLI in Canada.
  • Completed a program of study of at least 8 months.
  • Received a transcript and an official letter from your DLI confirming program completion.
